Earlier this year I joined NAWBO, The National Association of Women Business Owners. If you are a woman and own your own business I highly recommend it! Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the April luncheon which included an amazing speaker who literally inspired the entire room!!
Her name was Heather and she runs a PR company called Geben Communications. I could go on and on about her business and the culture she has created within her company but, the thing that inspired this post was what she calls her "House Rules".
House rules, 10 phrases that embody how she wants the people in her business to show up in the company and represent the company in the world. These phrases are emblazoned on separate canvas pics in the Geben offices and are given in a framed version for each current and new hire.
So amazing! Right?!
These are Geben's House Rules....

She had a couple of lines under each phrase to explain it but, I think you get the idea!
So fun! Such a great way to remind yourself to live with intention.
Her presentation got me thinking how we all need to come up with our own set of "House Rules" for our own homes and businesses. Whether you are a single woman or a mama it would be worth it (and fun) to establish your own. 8 to 10 phrases that would serve as a reminder of how you and your family want to show up in your community and your world. (If you own your own business, House Rules are definitely in order.)
Here’s a few of my newly branded “House Rules”
