Speak Up For What You Want

If you've been in my world for a hot minute you know how much I love CycleBar. I ride almost every day that I'm in town.
Recently, I was trying to book an evening ride with no success.

I went to the studio anyway because the ride was never full and I really wanted to ride.

“Something is wrong with the app.” I told the girl standing behind the front desk.

“You can book your bike over there on the I-pad.” She said.

So I did and then went to put on my cycling shoes.

A couple of minutes later I looked up and the manager was standing in front of me “Turns out the bike you just booked isn’t available.  Do you want me to book another bike? “ She asked.

“Yes, please.  Let’s try bike 15.” I said

She left the locker area and went to the front to change my bike.

A few minutes later the manager came to find me again and said “You’re all set but, just so you know, you won’t be able to get your stats on that bike. That's okay, right. ”  She turned to walk away.

Wait… what?  I thought to myself, stats matter to me.

“Umm,  excuse me, I'm going to need a different bike then.  Try 16 please."

It was such a small, ordinary, everyday type of event but, there was a time in the not so distant past that I would have said “No, don’t worry about it.  I don’t need my stats today.  You’re busy, thanks for trying.”  But deep down I would have been disappointed and wished I would have spoken up.

 That’s not me anymore.

My wants and desires are important and so are yours.

Pay attention to when you feel yourself downplaying your wants and needs.
Pay attention when you hear yourself saying sorry for asking for what you want or when you catch yourself feeling the need to justify your request.

We gotta quit using "Just" at the beginning of our sentences, We don't have to "just" anything!  We get to want what we want without explanation.

You are worthy.
100%
Did you know that?

No matter what you’ve done or what has been done to you.  No matter what you do or don’t do with the rest of your life, you are 100% worthy.

After I finished my ride, I got my stats and thank goodness because I came in first and stat wise it turned out to be one of my top 10 rides of all time.

Remember....
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of all of your dreams coming true.
You are worthy of getting your stats every time, no matter what.
