Don't Put a Ceiling On Your Dreams

SHATTERING GLASS CEILINGS BEATS SQUEEZING INTO GLASS SLIPPERS-2.png

Did you know that after the pandemic of 1347-1350, (commonly known as the Bubonic Plague) came the glorious period now known as The Renaissance?

Seriously, after all of that darkness and gloom came arguably one of the biggest periods of human advancement.

And, I think, as this pandemic winds down, we may witness something equally as magnificent, like the rise of the female and the proverbial shattering of the glass ceiling.

Hey, I never put a ceiling on my dreams and neither should you!

But, think about it….

We now have a female vice president, Kamala Harris (no matter what your politics, the fact that there is a female 2nd in command is amazing.)

And, last night, we saw Sarah Thomas take the field as the first female referee of the Superbowl.

Also on the field last night were two of the first female NFL coaches- Maral Javadifar and Lori Locust, both with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

All of these jobs were only ever held by men…until now.

Kamala Harris could have stopped dreaming at the state government level.
Sarah Thomas could have been satisfied reffing high school sports.
Javadifar and Locust could have spent their entire career at the college level.

Thankfully, none of these women put a ceiling on their dreams, and neither should you.

Dream big.

The worst that can happen is you miss the mark but, if you do come up short, I guarantee you you will have gotten further than if you never tried to go big at all.
