Upping Your Spiritual Game

I have a friend who I’m pretty sure is best friends with God.
If anyone has his direct line it’s her and….He always seems to take her call.
When she says she’ll pray for me I feel a sence of relief because A1: I know she will and A2: Whatever is wrong gets better.

Her devoutness got me thinking about how often in the past I’ve told someone, (usually a comment on a post on social media) “You are in my thoughts and prayers” and how often did I follow through?

Did I in the moment?
A quick “Bless this person Amen.”
Or, did I remember the words I posted when I bowed my head that night?
Either way,I’ve decided it’s time to up level my spiritual game.

I’ve bought myself a little notebook where I’m writing the names of the people I say I’ll pray for and why.
I look at the list each morning and I follow through.
A week or two later I check in with them to see how things are going.
I feel better, like I'm doing my part to help.

I wonder what would happen if we all prayed for the people we said we’d pray for?
Maybe chatted with the universe asking for a nod in their direction or
simply thinking of them and sending light and love ?
